ABOUT US
At Whistling Duck Vineyards & Winery our mission is to produce the highest quality, handcrafted Texas wines to be enjoyed at our “Uniquely Texas” winery facility. The winery will provide a place where friends will drop by to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and create memorable experiences. We are a small mom and pop winery (or as we like to say here in the country, a “ma and pa” winery) producing wines that are mostly grown in Texas and made in Texas. We carry some unique wine merchandise, along with some mighty fine jellies, jams and salsas. Our country barn-style tasting room sits smack-dab in the middle of nowhere. Well, actually it’s only 10 miles off of busy Interstate 10, south of Weimar, Texas, but it’s so peaceful out here you’d think you were in the middle of nowhere.
We hope you will find your way out to our little slice of country heaven and enjoy some fine wines. Come sit with us on the front porch and try and catch a glimpse of some whistling ducks on our large pond. Relax on the back patio and enjoy the view of our vineyard. Or spread a blanket under one of our big oak trees and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Texas countryside. Since we all come from rural roots you don’t have to worry about how you look or what you’re wearing. Heck, you might even find us dressed in bib overalls and Crocs!
